Center School is a public elementary school that provides education for students between Kindergarten and second grade who live within the center and southwest areas of Orland Park and Orland Township. Sue Hofferica serves as principal of the "Home of the Dolphins." Center School was built in 1960 after District 135 grew from 111 students in 1950 to about 1,000 a decade later. Students there receive the benefit of basic language arts, math and comprehension classes, physical education, art, music and computer literacy programs through the school's media center.
