Open since the 1980s, the bakery resides next to Dania Furniture off of LaGrange Road. The bakery serves homemade cookies, tarts, donuts, cakes and assorted pastries, individually or by the box. It also takes special orders for birthday and wedding cakes. The bakery also offers sugar-free items.
This is the best bakery for miles. I even know of old friends and neighbors who drive in from Lemont, Lockport, New Lenox, Hickory Hills, Joliet, and Bolingbrook just for this bakery!
It will be a real shame if Orland loses this bakery because the Village Trustees greed to push for eminent domain.
Stopped in yesterday after hearing about all the issues with the move...there is no better bakery around! The woman who took care of my family was so sweet...she asked us where we came from and when we said Flossmoor, she mentioned she had once worked at a bakery here. The pastries, cakes and cookies are *to die for*. The customer service is fantastic...this will be my go-to bakery from now on!
