The Orland Park Village Clerk serves as the gatekeeper and curator of the village's records. The clerk's office is responsible for documenting village meetings, ordinances, resolutions and any changes to the village code. The office also receives Freedom of Information Act requests and legal summons served to the village.

Orland Park's Village Clerk Office also manages the Office of Special Services, which provides veteran and family assistance, as well as passport aquisition. With the Orland Park Police Department, the office also helps run the Rapid Recovery Program, a tracking system that helps emergency personnel locate people with special needs who wear electronic devices.
