Park School is one of the original schools that became District 135. The school stands in the same location as it did in 1922, when it was only a seven-room building. Before Carl Sandburg High School was built, extensions added onto the building allowed it to be used as a high school.

Today the "Home of the Panthers" serves students between Kindergarten and second grade living in northern and central areas of Orland Park. Sue Kuligoski serves as principal of the school. Students have access to basic classes in language arts, math and social studies as well as health, physical education, music, art and computer literacy through the school's media center.
