One of two privately owned restaurants, Traverso's serves high quality pizza. Mama T (Lena Traverso) came over from Italy more than 30 years ago with recipes, and even though she has passed, her traditions carry on. If you want to dine in, you better get there early: Traverso's opens its door at 4pm, and by 4:30, the parking lot, as well as the empty lot next door, are already full. The restaurant does not have a set closing time.

We have been going to their restaurant on Harlem Ave in Orland Park from the time they opened 37 years ago and have never been disappointed with anything we order. Their pizza ranks right up at the top of the list. We rarely order others. Their servers do a great job too! We highly recommend them.
