Frederick T. Owens Village Hall

Orland Park's village hall is a striking 42,000 square foot structure that serves many functions for the community.More Named after former Orland Park Mayor Frederick Owens, the building includes municipal offices for the mayor, village manager, board trustees, village clerk, development services, human resources, parks, finance and other departments.

The village hall, overlooking a pond at the north end, is used both as a meeting place for village boards and committees, and also as space for the local Illinois Secretary of State's office. The U.S. Veterans Administration also holds an office within the building, as does the Southwest Conference of Mayors. 

Located slightly to the west of the village's center off Ravinia Avenue, the complex also includes a built in outdoor amphitheater used for performances. The Veterans Memorial placed south of the building is a steel sculpture titled "Ara Pacis," meaning "altar of peace." The sculpture was built by renowned sculptor Virginio Ferrari. The village hall connects by walkways to the Franklin Loebe Recreation Center and the William R. Vogel Civic Center.
