Boots and Towing For Three Tickets on the Way (Live Blog Transcript)

Update: 11:45 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2012 People with three traffic tickets from Orland Park police might be facing a big inconvenience soon, if those tickets remain unpaid. In 2011, the Orland Park Village Board gave the go-ahead for police to tow or boot a vehicle with three unpaid tickets, down two tickets from the previous policy of five tickets. During Monday night's Public Safety Committee meeting, Chief Tim McCarthy told the trustees that the three-ticket rule will now be going into effect. By the end of the month, all Orland Park residents with three outstanding tickets will receive a letter from the MCA collection agency, letting the registered owner know that their vehicle will soon be towed or booted. Lane Closures: 143rd and LaGrange Going to One Lane Each Direction on Monday

Hot asphalt will be laid on both streets.

Be ready for traffic to slow down near the 143rd Street and LaGrange Road intersection on Monday, and a new traffic pattern will start on LaGrange Road Tuesday. Between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., one lane will be closed on LaGrange Road both going north and south, while hot asphalt will be paved on the road, according to Orland Park Public Works. Work is expected to be between the Metra underpass and 144th Place. On 143rd Street, one lane will be closed in both east and west directions. The work is scheduled to happen between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., according to the village.
