The attorneys for five Indiana men accused in a Tinley Park attack on a suspected white supremacist group are in talks with prosecutors and the judge about a possible plea agreement. They will be back in court Nov. 16.

After a quiet and discouraging day for a Tinley Park business owner whose restaurant was the site of a brutal attack over the weekend, community members didn't hesitate to show their support on Monday.
After seeing the "ghost town" that was his restaurant on Sunday, Mike Winston said he never would have expected Monday to be what it was—an overwhelming outpouring of support from the community. The Ashford House and adjacent Winston Market owner said he knew business would take a hit after a mob of about 15 assailants descended on his restaurant Saturday afternoon. But there were few parking spots to be had around 10:40 a.m. Monday morning. Many diners said they were there specifically to show their support for Winston. This is a case to watch, because if they really did get off with a slap on their wrists it would signal that the only justice for people with unpopular views is in the street. Or in the case of the attackers, going after opponents and wedding parties that simply have the same taste in food.
