The Cook County Sheriff has arrest warrants out for these accused "deadbeat dads" in the south suburbs.
The following warrants for failure to provide child support were listed by the Cook County Sheriff's Office as of March 29: Raymond Kluth, 51, of the 18300 block of Martin Ave., in Homewood owes $40,939.48 in child support payments. Anthony Winston, 44, of the 800 block of Maple Road in Flossmoor owes $41,027.33. The last known address listed for Larry Multon Jr., 35, is in the 8600 block of West 167th Street in Orland Park, according to county records. He owes a total of $37,676.59 in child support payments. Sheriff's deputies list Kenneth Powers, 29, as most recently living in the 15900 block of South Haven Avenue in Orland Hills. His child support tally as of March 29 was up to $3,038.00. Cook County prosecutors withdrew a claim on Tuesday that Nicholas Sord of Orland Park violated the terms of his bond, showing evidence instead that the reckless homicide defendant had a prescription for painkillers at the time of recent drug tests. The opiates he recently tested positive for were prescribed by a doctor in November and December following hand surgeries involving pins to mend broken bones, said his attorney, Jeff Aprati. Bryan Sord said his son fell on his left hand while exercising at Swallow Cliff in Palos Park. FRANKFORT — The Will County jailhouse will not be required to stop filming the private conversations of a man on trial for murder, but it will need permission before printing those videos again, a Will County judge ordered on Monday. Wolfgang Fleischhauer, 81, was found near Sterling after not returning home Thursday after visiting Joliet.
Update 9:42 a.m. Wolfgang Fleischhauer has been safely reunited with his family. He was found in Sterling after going missing Thursday afternoon, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Posted 9:37 a.m. Authorities are looking for an 81-year-old man from unincoporated Orland Township who has been missing since Thursday afternoon. Wolfgang Fleischhauer was visiting St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. His daughter contacted authorities when he didn't return home later that day. Fleischhauer may have gotten lost driving home, and it is believed he may have been driving near Oswego around 4 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office. High school students from Orland Park and Orland Hills were recognized for putting in 100 hours or more of volunteer service this year. Teens from Orland Park and Orland Hills comprised a large number of those honored last week for their extensive community service. More than 100 Orland teens received the Cook County Sheriff’s Office Youth Service Medal at a ceremony held at the UIC Pavilion. For the last 24 years, the honor has been given to Cook County students, who devote at least 100 hours to volunteer efforts within the last year. Combined, the honorees logged more than 36,000 hours of community service, according to the sheriff’s office. A Tinley Park woman who runs Dazzle's Painted Pastures Animal Rescue and Sanctuary has been charged with multiple counts of animal neglect and cruelty after Cook County Sheriff's investigators found more than 100 animals on her property, according to a sheriff's office press release Saturday. Dawn Hamill, 41, was charged Friday with eight counts of neglect of owner's duties and two counts of cruel treatment. Hamill is the director of operations at Painted Pastures, 5555 W. 175th St., in unincorporated Tinley Park. Hamill’s next court date is March 11. Cook County Sheriff's officers along with members of the Animal Welfare League of Chicago Ridge removed animals Friday afternoon from Painted Pastures Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in unincorporated Tinley Park. According to a report on NBC Chicago's website, more than 100 animals were taken from the sanctuary, including more than 65 dogs. Dead animals also were found on the property, according to the report, which cited a source close to the investigation. A woman a Patch photographer identified as Dawn Hamill, director of operations at Painted Pastures, was seen being taken into custody by officers.
