Update, 12:09 p.m., Jan. 13 -- Courtney Jean Arp, 15, of Lockport, who has been missing for over a week, was found safe in DeKalb, IL, early Sunday morning. Courtney's mother posted a message on the Missing Cases Facebook page: "We got her !!!!!! Dekalb police dept thank IOU!!!!!" Missing Lockport Teen Last Seen in Worth

Family turns to social media for help in finding 15-year-old daughter.

The family of a 15-year-old girl missing since Sunday is turning to social media in the hopes of locating her. Courtney Jean Arp is believed to be a runaway and was last seen around 8 p.m. Sunday near 113th Street and Ridgeland Avenue in Worth. Courtney's primary residence is with her mother in Lockport, but she was visiting her father, Les Arp, in Worth for winter break when she went missing on Sunday. She is a sophomore at Lockport High School. “She snuck out her bedroom window,” Les Arp said. “She is definitely a runaway.” Courtney has not used her cell phone since Sunday, but has contacted a few of her friends privately on Facebook. “As soon as they asked where she was at she terminated the conversation,” Arp said of his daughter. …
