THURSDAY, SEPT. 22 Justin S. Slee, 24, of the 15600 block of Centennial Court in Orland Park, was charged with possession of cannabis, improper lane usage, no valid driver’s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police said they stopped Slee’s car at West Avenue and Ravinia Avenue around 4:30 a.m. for swerving and found a container of K2, a form of synthetic marijuana, in his pocket. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 21 Brittany N. Simpson, 18, of the 7500 block of Halesia Court in Orland Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. In the same incident, Steven M. TUESDAY, SEPT. 13 Gregory W. Glomb, 24, of the 9800 block of 145th Street in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic controlled light, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police said they stopped Glomb’s car in the 15100 block of Harlem Avenue at 12:55 a.m. for blowing a red light, speeding and swerving. He refused to take a breathalyzer test but failed field sobriety tests, police said. MONDAY, SEPT. 12 Michael R. Baranda, 25, of the 7500 block of Tiffany Drive in Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery. The next hearing for a man accused of sexual exploitation of a teenage girl in Palos Hills and Orland Park is scheduled for October while attorneys continue to collect evidence for trial. Kevin Skaritka, of Orland Park, is charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual abuse. He's accused of molesting a teenage girl between 2009 and May 2011, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. In August, Cook County Judge John J. Hynes allowed Skaritka to post bond with an electronic monitor, even though two of his guns—a shotgun and AR-15 rifle—were missing from his home. On Monday, the state's attorney's office told the judge the state needs more time to gather evidence. …

THURSDAY, AUG. 25 Christopher K. Kim, 20, of the 10800 block of Somer Lane in Orland Park, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and driving without insurance. An officer watching traffic in the 11100 block of West 159th Street saw Kim drive by without his seat belt on just before 5 p.m., police said. After the traffic stop, the officer smelled cannabis coming from the car and found two bags of cannabis in Kim's pants pockets, police said. Loss prevention at Target, 15840 94th Ave., saw Oleksy take bathing suit tops off their hangers and place them in her purse before leaving the store around 4:50 p.m., according to Orland Park police. SUNDAY, AUG. 28 Jamarco S. Qweider, 53, of the 9700 block of Ravinia Lane, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Warr, 26, of the 5600 block of South Whipple in Chicago; and Vivian E. Russell, 24, of the 1600 block of East 69th Street in Chicago, each was charged with theft. An officer in the Sears parking lot at Orland Square Mall saw Coleman place a large black bag containing clothes with tags still attached inside a car and then go back into the mall, according the report. Nicole T. Lambrigger, 19, of the 19300 block of Foxford Lane in Mokena, and a male juvenile were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor. MONDAY, AUG. 22 Grzegorz Mika, 32, of the 5400 block of Kildare Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level greater than .08, and was cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Orland Park police. An officer in the 14900 block of LaGrange Road saw a car make an illegal lane change and speed up to 50 mph in a 35 mph zone around 12:10 a.m. The officer pulled over the car in the 13100 block of LaGrange Road. MONDAY, AUG. 15 Jessica K. Gajewski, 20, of the 9000 block of Roberts Road in Hickory Hills, and Martyna M. Paszcyk, 20, of the 7900 block of 92nd Street in Hickory Hills, were each charged with retail theft. Loss prevention at Macy's, 1 Orland Square Dr., reported seeing Gajewski and Paszcyk take 19 items from the racks into a fitting room and leave the fitting room without any visible merchandise. Only 13 of the original 19 items were found the fitting rooms, according to the report. Gajewski and Paszcyk then left the store without paying for the merchandise around 4:15 p.m. Once confronted by the loss prevention agent, Gajewski showed that she had two items in her purse and Paszcyk had four items in hers, according to the report. …

What happened to that proposed oridinence about landlords being fined for leasing to tenants with criminal behavior? Sounds like some tickets ought to be written for that on Franklin, Lunar, Lincoln, Kennnedy, and Orland Courts.
