Matthew Senica, 26, remains in custody on felony reckless homicide and aggravated DUI charges in the case where an Advocate Christ Medical Center nurse was killed on her way to work.
Evidence is still being exchanged in the case against a 26-year-old Orland Park man charged with felony aggravated DUI and reckless homicide, for his role in an accident that killed a nurse on her way to work. Matthew Senica, 26, appeared in standard khaki-colored Department of Corrections garb during a brief hearing in a Bridgeview courtroom Thursday, Nov. 1. He has been in custody on a $1 million bond since July. Police say Heidi Roseen, 51, was on her way to Advocate Christ Medical Center from her Lockport home to work a shift as a nurse on July 8. The man that police say is responsible for an accident that took the life of a nurse on her way to work has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Matthew Senica, 25, has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of aggravated DUI and one count of reckless homicide. He remains in custody after his bond was set at $1 million. Senica entered his plea last week in the Bridgeview courtroom of Judge Carmen K. Aguilar, Cook County State's Attorney's office spokesman Andy Conklin confirmed Thursday. Authorities say on July 8, Senica was driving back to Orland Park from what Senica told police was a night of drinking in Chicago. Matthew Senica is facing a felony DUI charge after authorities said he caused a car accident Sunday morning that killed a 51-year-old Lockport woman.
Bail was set at $1 million for an Orland Park man accused of driving after a night of drinking, and causing an accident that took the life of an Advocate Christ Medical Center nurse on her way to work. Matthew Senica, 25, of the 13700 block of 88th Avenue in Orland Park, is charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence. A 51-year-old Lockport woman died after a crash at 95th Street and LaGrange Road Sunday morning, Sun Times Media reports.
An Orland Park man is accused of causing a fatal car crash Sunday morning, after speeding through a red light and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to authorities. The 25-year-old man was not named in the report by Steve Metsch for Sun Times Media. The woman, Heidi Roseen, 51, of the 16900 block of West 143rd Street, was on her way to Advocate Christ Medical Center to start her shift as a nurse in the intensive care unit. Roseen has three children all in their 20s. She and her husband Thomas Roseen would have celebrated their 30th anniversary in August. Read on for the full Sun Times Media report. An Orland Park man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to his involvement in a DUI accident related to the death of a 70-year-old Tinley Park woman. Nicholas J. Gorny, 26, of the 11000 block of Laurel Hill Drive in Orland Park, has been charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol causing a death, a Class 4 felony. Gorny was speeding east on West Hadley Drive just west of Will-Cook Road on the morning of Aug. 27 when he crossed lanes and crashed into a car driven by Loretta Falat, 70, of Tinley Park, according Kathy Hoffmeyer, spokeswoman for the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Orland Square Mall security told police that Shoubaki left a department store around 7 p.m. with several unpaid towels and a bottle of men’s cologne in her cart. Robert A. What evidence do you exchange??? He was drunk out of his mind, ran a light, and killed someone. This is why the judicial system is so screwed up. It takes months and years for someone who is guilty beyond belief to even get to trial.
