Rizza Dealership Taps Facebook to win $3,500 for Erin’s AAIM

Joe Rizza Ford led the push on a Facebook contest, through the Chicago Automobile Trade Association, to win big for the local non-profit.

Gerry Olmsted was a little skeptical at first. The Orland Park resident and co-founder of Erin’s AAIM For Change was pleasantly surprised to find out that in December they had won a contest through Facebook put on by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association. Car dealerships from around the Chicago area chose a charity they would represent in the contest, and people could vote for their pick on the association’s Facebook page once a day.  Joe Rizza Ford in Orland Park opted to represent Erin’s AAIM in the contest, and after a about a month of voting between November and December, the two rose to the top. Joe Rizza Ford Supporting Erin’s AIMM at Thursday Night Event

The Orland Park dealership is hosting an event where attendees can enter drawings for prizes, and up to $500 will be donated to Erin’s AAIM for Change.

American Idol, Ford cars, Santa Claus and supporting an effort to educate on the dangers of drunk driving aren’t often found in the same place. Thursday night, they all can be found together at Joe Rizza Ford. During the Go Further With Ford Night, attendees can enter to win a VIP package to see American Idol, as well as receive gift cards for Culver’s, enter a raffle for a 32-inch television, enjoy food from Taquero Fusion and bring children to visit with Santa Claus. With the new 2013 Ford Fusion being released, all dealerships have picked local charities to support. Rizza has picked Erin’s AAIM for Change, and will donate up to $500 from the night to the organization. A Toys for Toys for Tots collection will also be held.   The event …
