Arraignment Set for Orland Man on Child Porn Charges

Eric Holt, 28, is set to enter his plea on felony possession of child porn charges in a Bridgeview courtroom on Dec. 4.

The case against a 28-year-old Orland Park man charged with felony possession of child pornography after police said they found the images on his computer is moving forward, with the arraigment set for Dec. 4. Eric Holt appeared briefly in Judge Peter Felice's Markham courtroom Tuesday. He is out on $100,000 bond on the charges and is also on electronic monitoring. Dressed casually in a black jacket, black shirt and jeans, Holt didn't speak during the brief hearing. A public defender initially assigned to the case withdrew as Holt stood next to an attorney who filed her appearance on behalf of a colleague at her law firm. The attorney declined to give Patch her name, saying that she would not be lead counsel on the case. Holt was arrested…

Police Accuse Orland Park Man of Possessing Child Pornography on Computer

The man was arrested after a joint effort between Orland Park and Chicago police, as well as a Cook County State’s Attorney task force focused on Internet crimes against children.

An Orland Park man is facing two felony charges after child pornography was found on his computer, according to authorities. Orland Park police arrested 28-year-old Eric A. Holt, of the 8400 block of Wheeler Drive on Oct. 17, after a search warrant was granted and child pornography was found a computer belonging to him, Orland Park Police Commander John Keating said Monday. The Orland Park Police Department was contacted about Holt by personnel with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Keating said.
