Lawyer: Actor in Porn Video May Be Of Legal Age

An attorney for a 58-year-old Orland Park man accused of possession of child pornography and stalking told a Cook County judge Wednesday that he wants to verify to age of the person in a video in the child porn case.

An attorney for an Orland Park man accused of possessing child pornography and stalking two girls told a Cook County judge during a hearing Wednesday that he may have evidence of the person's age in the video that led to the pornography charge. James Shaver, 58, was arrested and charged with stalking in March of 2011, for reportedly stalking two girls, ages 9 and 11, and was later charged with possession of child porn after police say they found videos on his cell phone. Shaver is out on $20,000 bond and appeared in court Wednesday but didn't speak during the hearing. Regarding the child porn case, defense attorney Jeffrey Aprati told Judge John J. Hynes that he has significant evidence regarding the age of the person in the video. …

Man Accused of Stalking Girls Now Charged With Having Child Pornography

Police said an inappropriate picture was found on the cell phone of a Park Forest man previously accused of trying to lure two girls into his car.

Law enforcement found child pornography on the cell phone of a man arrested in 2011 for stalking two girls, according to police. The Orland Park Police Department first arrested 57-year-old James M. Shaver on March 18, 2011for stalking two girls ages 9 and 11 at the time, according to a release from the police department. Police said that two days prior, he tried to lure the girls into his car while they were walking home from school in the 15200 block of Orlan Brook Drive, and then offered to take them out for a milkshake the next day. One of the girls knew Shaver from past encounters, according to police.
