Police Supervisors Union Agrees To Contract, MAP 159 Still Going Into Arbitration
Orland Park has settled a 16-month contract standoff with one village police union, though negotiations will continue with another.
Orland Park Police Supervisors Association and the village agreed to a contract, which retroactively dates back to May 2011, while the Metropolitan Alliance of Police Chapter 159 is still scheduled to go into arbitration with the village. On Sept. 24, Orland Park trustees approved the police supervisors’ contract during a special meeting. The new contract, which goes back to May 1, 2011 and will run until April 30, 2015, includes higher health insurance rates for traditional HMO and PPO plans than the past contract, but with comparatively lower rates for a High Deductible Health Plans/Health Savings Account.
