The two men were found by police at Hollywood Casino in Joliet and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
A father and son team were caught Feb. 8 on a surveillance camera in what turned out to be a drug deal in the parking lot at Hollywood Casino in Joliet. Kenneth Bock, 28, 100 block of Tall Grass Road, New Lenox, and his dad, 55-year-old Kevin Bock, 7200 block of W. 154th Street, Orland Park, were captured by Illinois State Police on surveillance cameras at Hollywood Casino, Joliet, in what appeared to be a drug deal. According to Joliet police, who processed the pair on behalf of ISP, the two appeared suspicious while they were standing by a van at 11:30 a.m. When ISP arrived, they found the two were in possession of 50 pills identified as hydrocodone. The Cook County Sheriff has arrest warrants out for these accused "deadbeat dads" in the south suburbs.
Child support warrants are most often filed when a person neglects to pay child support bills, according to Cook County Sheriff's Office representatives. However, warrants may also be issued in other cases, such as when a person doesn't report to a police department to provide a required DNA sample or when he or she doesn't notify authorities of salary increases. The following child support warrants were listed by the Cook County Sheriff's Office as of Nov. 8: Larry Multon Jr., 35, has racked up $37,676.59 in child support payments. His last known address is in the 8600 block of W. 167th Street. Dewayne Parks, 39, owes $18,311.28 in child support payments. His last known address is in the 10200 blk of S. 86th Terrace in Palos Hills. …

Man asked to use business's cordless phone, than smashed it. He also admitted to being drunk and high on synthetic pot, police said.
Oak Lawn police said that a man absconded with a store’s cordless phone after borrowing it to make a call. Sign up for Orland Park Patch breaking news alerts. Police responded to Honeycuts at 5172 W. 95th St. around 8 p.m. Sept. 20. Informed by the business owner that a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt was in possession of the salon’s cordless phone, police searched the block. According to the report, a salon employee said that a man indentified as Timothy Saxton, 21, of Orland Park, came into the shop and asked to borrow the phone. Saxton went out to the sidewalk. A night out ended in two battery charges, according to police.
A woman was charged with multiple offenses after a late night incident at a Palos Hills bar on April 28. Sharon Sullivan, 45, of Orland Park, was charged with two counts of battery and resisting arrest. Police were called to Durbin's, 10154 Roberts Road in Palos Hills, around 3:40 a.m. When they arrived they were met outside by customers who informed them that bar employees needed their help inside, police said. A security guard was attempting to walk Sullivan out of the establishment when she dropped to the floor and began kicking customers and employees, police said. The single charge against the driver of a street sweeper that a witness said caused a three-vehicle crash in Orland Park, killing a mother, father and daughter from Tinley Park, is the traffic citation. The crash is still being investigated.
A witness to a three-vehicle accident in Orland Park Sunday night that caused the death of three Tinley Park family members told police a street sweeper ran a red light at an intersection, which led to the crash. The man driving the street sweeper has been cited with disobeying a traffic control device for running the red light, Orland Park Police Commander John Keating said Thursday. “One witness saw the whole accident in its entirety and clearly stated the street sweeper disobeyed the red light, making no attempt to stop,” Keating said. “We won’t be getting into specifics of where that witness was until the accident reconstruction is complete.” Police have held off from releasing the street sweeper driver’s name pending the crash’s …

Police arrested an area man in February who they said burglarized the Target in Brookside Marketplace. He was detained in a wooded area behind the shopping complex, according to reports.
Police recently apprehended a man in a field behind Brookside Marketplace after he escaped Super Target through a fire door with bags of groceries, they said. Officers charged Justin C. Jachimiec, 22, of Orland Park, with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He entered Super Target, 7300 W. 191st Street in Tinley Park around 4 p.m. Feb. 14, when he reportedly grabbed grocery bags from behind a counter and began stuffing them with items. "At approximately (4:14 p.m.), the tape shows Justin in the sporting goods aisle placing items from a shopping cart into the Target bags," the report said. Police pulled over a car Friday with three suspicious people inside, they said.
Police said they found a "large number of checks" in a vehicle during a midnight traffic stop on Friday that believed were fraudulent. Orland Hills police initially pulled over a car of three suspects near the intersection of 80th Avenue and 159th Street in Tinley Park, according to the police report. Officers "flagged down" Tinley Park police to help with the stop. During a search, officers found checks from multiple businesses and names in the car. Some of them appeared to have been used, police said. Electronics totaling $867.92 were also found in the car and the receipt said they had been purchased from Super Kmart using a check.
