Kenneth Jackson, who's been charged with burglaries in Orland Park and Burr Ridge in the last year, and his uncle were suspected in 19 North Shore burglaries that took place during the two years prior to the pair's arrest in 2009.
Police charged Kenneth Jackson with three residential burglaries in Orland Park and Burr Ridge last week. But as Sergeant Marc Loftus of the Burr Ridge Police Department noted, it's only the latest chapter in a long criminal history for the 53-year-old Oak Lawn resident. "He's prolific," said Loftus, who provided links to news stories from 2009. Kenneth N. Jackson, of Oak Lawn, was charged with two counts of residential burglary Wednesday, for incidents in Orland Park and Burr Ridge after he was charged for a separate burglary last October.
An Oak Lawn man was accused of committing residential burglaries in Orland Park and Burr Ridge between August and October, where he would enter unlocked residences and leave with tens of thousands of dollars and valuable items, according to police. Kenneth N. Jackson, 53, whose last known address is in the 9800 block of South Keeler Avenue, was charged with two Class 1 felony counts of residential burglary, according to a release from the Orland Park Police Department. An Orland Park man and a South Holland man were each accused with separate burglary incidents within the last four days, both unrelated to a funeral home burglary on Sunday.
A South Holland man and an Orland Park man are each facing felony charges after police said they are responsible for separate Orland Park area burglaries. A single fingerprint led to the arrest of an Orland Park man about 10 months after the burglary. Wayne C. Deutsch, 32, of the 10000 block of 151st Street in Orland Park, is accused of stealing credit cards from a house in the 14700 block of Highland Avenue, on Oct. 18, 2011, according to police. Deutsch gained entry to the house without force, took credit cards and used them at gas stations in nearby towns, Orland Park Police Sergeant Scott Malmborg said. A Tinley Park man is facing three felonies connected to a burglary, where police said he stole a car and other items from an Orland Park funeral home. On Sunday, the Orland Park Police Department was called by Orland Hills police about a car found in the 16000 block of Willow Terrace that was reported stolen earlier in the day, around 6:30 p.m., according to Orland Park Commander John Keating. The Mercedes Benz came from Lawn Funeral Home, from where other items were also stolen.
