The three women, including one from Orland Park, accused of stealing cash from Carl Sandburg High School’s cashier’s office took pleas for misdemeanor theft charges Friday.
Two Worth women and a woman from Orland Park pleaded guilty to theft charges, after accepting a plea deal Friday. Linda Nassar, 36, and Sally Quaraveh, 22, both of Worth, and Sabrina Yassin, 20, of Orland Park, each pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft in front of Judge John J. Hynes in Bridgeview. Hynes sentenced the three women to 18 months of supervision each, as well as $230 in court fees and costs. All three, who were out on bail, gave one word “yes” or “no” answers to Hynes questions as he read off terms of the guilty pleas. Are you a fan of true crime? Three women charged with felony theft after being accused of stealing $10,000 cash from Carl Sandburg High School may take a plea agreement, their attorney said after a brief status hearing on the case Wednesday. Linda Nassar, 36, and Sally Quaraveh, 22, both of Worth, and Sabrina Yassin, 20, of Orland Park, are accused of stealing cash from the high school’s cashier’s office on Sept. 5. The women were there to register Nassar's son for school, according to a release from the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. Out on bond, all three appeared in Judge John J. A theft case against three women accused of stealing $10,000 cash from Carl Sandburg High School will continue after a Cook County judge found probable cause during a preliminary hearing on Monday. Police say Linda Nassar, 36, and Sally Quaraveh, 22, both of Worth, and Sabrina Yassin, 20, of Orland Park, stole the cash from the high school’s cashier’s office on Sept. 5.
