Police: Burglars Apprehended After Fleeing Through Neighborhood
Homeowner pulled into driveway to find two men in her Orland Park home.
Two Orland Park men who were burglarizing an Orland Park home when the homeowner pulled into her driveway eventually were apprehended after trying to make a getaway, police said. A woman pulled into her driveway and saw two men moving around in her house on the 9300 block of Dunmurry Drive around 6 p.m. on May 21, according to a police report. The woman said she watched the men walk to the rear of the home while she remained outside. When the woman went toward the back of the house, a man playing golf at Palos Country Club—on a hole near the back of the woman’s home—told the woman he saw two men jump from the deck, a distance of about 25 feet.
