Attorney for an Orland Park man accused of possessing pornographic images of children on a computer requested a conference with the judge and prosecutor during a court hearing Tuesday.
Negotiations continue in the case against a 28-year-old Orland Park man charged with felony possession of child pornography, according to the man’s attorney. Eric Holt pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Dec. 4 to charges against him, after the Orland Park Police Department said child pornography was found on his computer. Holt’s attorney David O’Connor asked to set a date for a “402 conference,” during a brief court hearing Tuesday in Judge Colleen Ann Hyland’s Bridgeview courtroom. Holt, who is out on bail, attended the hearing but didn’t speak during the short proceeding. The type of conference is described by the Cook County Guide to the Criminal Justice System as a method for plea bargaining, however O’Connor declined to comment …

Prosecutors told a Cook County judge during a hearing Wednesday that a copy of outstanding material from a computer needs to be handed to the defense before the discovery phase of Dean Milenkovic's possession of child porn case is complete.
Prosecutors have received more evidence from a computer in the felony possession of child pornography case against former Orland firefighter Dean Milenkovic, officials said Wednesday. An assistant state's attorney from the sex crimes unit said during a status hearing Wednesday in Judge Colleen Ann Hyland's Bridgeview courtroom that the state has received the material and plans to give copies to Michael D. Krejci, Milenkovic's defense attorney. Milenkovic, 46, has two pending cases against him and is out on bond for both; it is unclear if and how the cases are related, but they are being prosecuted together. An attorney for a 58-year-old Orland Park man accused of possession of child pornography and stalking told a Cook County judge Wednesday that he wants to verify to age of the person in a video in the child porn case.
An attorney for an Orland Park man accused of possessing child pornography and stalking two girls told a Cook County judge during a hearing Wednesday that he may have evidence of the person's age in the video that led to the pornography charge. James Shaver, 58, was arrested and charged with stalking in March of 2011, for reportedly stalking two girls, ages 9 and 11, and was later charged with possession of child porn after police say they found videos on his cell phone. Shaver is out on $20,000 bond and appeared in court Wednesday but didn't speak during the hearing. Regarding the child porn case, defense attorney Jeffrey Aprati told Judge John J. Dean Milenkovic, 46, a former Orland Park firefighter charged with felony possession of child porn and accused of attempting sex chatting with a minor, pleaded not guilty to his more recent charges Tuesday.

The case against a 28-year-old Orland Park man charged with felony possession of child pornography after police said they found the images on his computer is moving forward, with the arraigment set for Dec. 4. Eric Holt appeared briefly in Judge Peter Felice's Markham courtroom Tuesday. He is out on $100,000 bond on the charges and is also on electronic monitoring. Dressed casually in a black jacket, black shirt and jeans, Holt didn't speak during the brief hearing. A former Orland Fire Protection District firefighter is now facing two pending cases, after felony charges related to possession of child pornography were made against him. It was not immediately clear whether the cases against Dean Milenkovic, 46, are related. Calls to Michael D. An Orland Park man is facing two felony charges after child pornography was found on his computer, according to authorities. Orland Park police arrested 28-year-old Eric A. Holt, of the 8400 block of Wheeler Drive on Oct. 17, after a search warrant was granted and child pornography was found a computer belonging to him, Orland Park Police Commander John Keating said Monday. Frankfort Police arrested a Chicago Ridge man early Monday morning for unlawful restraint after holding an 18-year-old Orland Hills woman against her will in his car, a police official said. Matthew Wydra, 26, of the 5800 block of 107th Street in Chicago Ridge, also was charged with reckless driving, speeding more than 40 mph over the limit, speeding in a construction zone and possession of child pornography, which was found during a search of Wydra's car, said Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan. He is being held in Will County Jail on $50,000 bail, and his next court date is June 11.
