Police Blotter: Arrests Begin on Old Warrants
Orland Park police reports, March 1-9
Thirteen people recently turned themselves over to Orland Park police on old warrants, the oldest of which dates to 1994, after receiving letters from investigators. Orland Park Police Sgt. Scott Malmborg said the department has been working down a list of 1,400 Cook County bond forfeiture warrants that were never entered into the local police system before the policy changed. A 14th person was arrested during a traffic stop, where, according to police, it was revealed he had charges pending on aliases he once used.
