Annie Jr. Opens At Sandburg Friday

New children/teen performance group Spotlight Youth Theater features its first production in Orland Park, opening Friday, Feb. 1st at 7 p.m.

High Point student Alanna Buechele stands onstage at Carl Sandburg High School, wearing a wide brimmed hat and swinging a purse for the role of Lily St. Regis from Annie. "This has been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. You have to practice your character, how to walk and talk,"  Buechele said. This class will help strengthen your teen as an actor, singer and dancer while …

Children ages 5 through 11 will take part in a five day camp learning the arts of drama and singing at Calvary Church in Orland Park. Freeman, a teacher at Calvin Grove School in Lockport, will bring her knowledge to the campers. A Trinity Christian College alum who serves on their theater board, Freeman has been producing her own productions with students during the past few years. "I just finished directing my fifth show…
