I have been a journalist since 1993, working at weekly and daily newspapers in Oregon and Illinois before moving on to a finance and investing magazine in New York and eventually back to Chicago to run a financial news web site. I live in Evergreen Park with my wife. I believe in local journalism and its power to help bring communities together. I believe in fairness and honesty and striving to discover truth and beauty.
