Are you motivated and interested in being part of something special by helping those who are hungry and homeless in the community? If so, we are looking for YOU!
Position:&nbsp;Cashier/Donation Processor Pay: Competitive Wages Job Type: Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provide a sincere, warm, friendly, and helpful atmosphere to fulfill customer needs.</li><li>Ensure accurate handling of voucher, cash, check, and charge transactions, along with proper documentation of all related paperwork.</li><li>Deliver a thorough checkout experience using the POS system.</li><li>Answer the telephone efficiently and courteously, offering assistance to callers as needed.</li><li>Maintain a clean checkout area and assist other store personnel with the general upkeep of the store.</li><li>Assist the Store Manager with pricing, stocking, and displaying merchandise, including jewelry cases, dressing rooms, mission table, and front counter.</li><li>Ensure merchandise is properly received, checked, sorted, and stored.</li><li>Help in loading and unloading donations onto trucks as requested by the Store Manager.</li><li>Mark and ticket all merchandise in accordance with SVdP policies and procedures.</li><li>Position merchandise on shelves and racks for sale.</li><li>Sweep the store daily, clean lavatories and sinks, mop floors as needed, maintain the cleanliness of the sidewalk areas in front of the store, and empty trash containers daily.</li><li>Clean all display shelves where merchandise is displayed.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Must be available afternoons and weekends until 7:30 pm.</li><li>Ability to lift 25 lbs.</li><li>Basic knowledge of computers is preferred.</li><li>High energy level with the ability to work independently and as a team player.</li></ul>
