Results from the 2013 Orland Park Turkey Trot

Orland park’s annual Turkey Trot keeps pulling greater numbers of people eager and ready to do something healthy on Thanksgiving morning.

This year, about 750 people registered for the race, selling out the event well before it happened, with 643 runners completing the race with recorded times.

Orland Park trustee Pat Gira said the village would look into expanding the available slots to 800 for next year’s race, during Monday night’s village board meeting.

Here are the results for the top five placing runners:

1. Zachary Dahleen, bib #2508, age 22, gun time: 12:50.8, chip time: 12:50.8

2. Matt Swiatkowski, bib #3045, age 29, gun time: 13:33.8, chip time: 13:33.8

3. Nicholas Prajka, bib #3116, age 18, gun time: 13:34.4, chip time: 13:34.4

4. James Bowen, bib #2427, age 17, gun time: 13:59.4, chip time: 13:55.6

5. David Gleisner, bib #2627, age 15, gun time: 14:07.7, chip time: 14:04.2
