Bauer told cops that he crashed his car but wasn't hurt and felt healthy, the report states. However, he didn't know where he crashed or what kind of car he ran into. Police could smell a strong odor coming from Bauer's mouth when he spoke. He slurred his speech and mumbled to cops and barely kept his eyes open.

Officers asked Bauer to take tests for sobriety, during which he swayed while standing, the report states. Police said he failed the tests and was arrested. Bauer was taken to the Tinley Park Police Department, where cops searched him and found nine small bags of a white powder that tested positive for 0.5 grams of heroin. A glass smoking pipe used for inhaling drugs also was found.
