Sandburg Sophomore Eagles Dominate Bolingbrook!

Eagles Sophomore Football continues their offensive strength and defensive domination, defeating Bolingbrook 32-0.

Another weekend of Eagle domination for our sophomore football team! Defeating Bolingbrook 32-0, the Eagle defense shut out the Bolingbrook offense from ever visiting the end zone.

While the "usual suspects" continued to add yardage to their offensive running odometers, fans were cheering for the surprise plays by Jon Milazzo and Frank Hanes.

Early in the first quarter, kicker Jon Milazzo was preparing for the team's first extra point when place holder Adam Nash casually tossed the ball into the air behind him as Milazzo took the turn, grabbed the ball, and ran it in for the two point conversion, giving the Eagles an 8-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game.

Soon after Milazzo's surprise entrance to the end zone, Eagle tight end Frank Hanes made his first visit there, receiving a pass by QB Sean Leland and giving the Eagles a 15-0 lead as the first quarter ended.

The Eagles continued to rack up points on the scoreboard with touchdowns by runningbacks Brian Langowski and Johnny Pelligrino. With only two games left this season, the sophomore team looks forward to stepping onto the gridiron against Lockport next week (away) and Homewood-Flossmoor the following week (home).
