Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Students involved in Social Action Ministry

February National Junior Society monthly meeting: Cardinal Joseph Bernardin's 8th grade National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) members prepared burial palls to send to Haiti.

At the February National Junior Society monthly meeting, Cardinal Joseph Bernardin’s 8th grade NJHS members prepared burial palls.  This project was coordinated with Mrs. Liz Wisnasky from the Social Action Ministry of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Orland Hills.   The students donated sheets and pillowcases and decorated them with crosses, ribbons, and religious images.  The 54 palls that were made will be sent to Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Haiti.

“It feels good to know that you are helping someone who really needs it,” said NJHS member Tim Q. of Orland Park.  “I am so proud of these students for taking the time to create beautiful burial palls for the families in Haiti.  They are truly a blessing,” added Liz Wisnasky of the Social Action Ministry.
