TUESDAY

Jim Pellegrino and his brother, John, have teamed up to form a powerful one-two combination for the Sandburg wrestling team in the lower weights. John won the 126-pound title in the Southwest Suburban Conference tournament. Jim placed second at 106.

As a condition of bond, Nicholas Sord, of Orland Park, was required to take random drug tests. Prosecutors aim to remove his bond, which would keep Sord in jail while awaiting trial.

WEDNESDAY

A task force was created by the Orland Fire Protection District Board of Trustees to look at the ins and outs of merging with the Palos Fire Protection District, even though board members already say it’s not a good idea.
