Registration Open For Contender Youth Wrestling Club



















Contender
Youth Wrestling Club is hosting sign-ups for the 2013-14 IKWF wrestling season
on Wednesday, October 9; Monday, October 14; and Wednesday October 16 from 6 –
8 p.m. at Carl Sandburg High School in the Wrestling Room.  Wrestlers, of all experience levels, whom are
grades kindergarten thru 8th grade are welcome.



The
Contender Youth Wrestling Club’s mission is to create a unique wrestling
program that incorporates physical fitness paired with solid wrestling
techniques. 



What
sets Contender Youth Wrestling Club apart from other wrestling programs is its
team of accomplished coaching staff. Athletes will receive small group training
by:  Joe Gilbert, 2-time Collegiate
All-American at University of Michigan and recent inductee of the National High
School Hall of Fame; Clinton Polz, former wrestler for University of Illinois,
and current Varsity Wrestling Coach, Carl Sandburg High School; and Louie
Hayes, 2013 Fargo National Champion, 2X Future Olympian Award Recipient and 2X
Triple Crown Champion (Freestyle/Greco/Folkstyle).

Practice
will begin on Monday, November 4, 2013 and run through March 2014.  The Contender Wrestling team will practice
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6p.m. – 8p.m. at Carl Sandburg High
School.  The cost is $250 per athlete. 



Wrestlers
need to bring a copy of their birth certificate they must have a USA Wrestling
Card to participate which can be obtained at www.usamembership.com or at the time
registration.  Registration fee is due at
the time of registration.
