5 Ways Firehouse Subs Is A Great Place For Kids

Our restaurant is great for adults because there’s so much variety and flavor. Plus, even our smallest sandwich is so large that you’ll barely have room for dessert! But we also love seeing kids in our store because of their enthusiasm for great food and our firemen theme. Here’s the top five ways that Firehouse Subs in Orland Park is a great place for kids:

1. A delicious kid’s menu

No matter how mouthwatering our specialty subs are, kids tend to have a simpler palate. That’s why we have a kid’s menu with a wide variety to satisfy even the pickiest eater. We have small single meat subs, grilled cheese and meatball subs. And don’t forget dessert! A kid’s combo includes a drink (pop or milk), a fire hat and a Rice Krispie treat.

2. The fire bell

Did your child love their meal? Ring the fire bell! Some parents are shy about the loud ringing, but we love how excited the children are when they ring the bell. And parents, if you love your meal, you can ring the bell, too!

3. Firemen props

Firehouse Subs was started by firemen, hence the firehouse theme. Kids can experience the uniforms of brave heroes first-hand by trying on the heavy boots and jackets we have on display. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

4. Fireman’s hats

Whether you buy a kid’s combo or just want to see your kid look even cuter, we have red plastic fireman hats next to the registers. I’ve seen so many faces light up when they receive one, so please don’t hesitate to ask the person at the register for a free hat.

5. The soda machine

We don’t have the average pop machine. Our two soda fountains actually hold dozens of flavors that can combine into more than 120 different flavors! Kids are ecstatic when they see the touch screen to choose and dispense their drinks, but they are absolutely thrilled when they realize they can mix peach Sprite with lime Coke and vanilla Root Beer.
