Project Serve: Fall Fishing Festival

8-12:15 p.m. Sept. 28, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, will give students an opportunity to volunteer their time at the Alden Estates Fall Fishing Festival.  Students will help with registration, measure fish, and more. Saturday Night

Ultimate Frisbee

ACT Test Prep
4:30-5:30 p.m. Oct 3, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S 71st Court, Orland Park, has paired up with Sylvan to hold an ACT prep for High School students that are feeling anxious or unprepared for the ACT. Community Walk
9 a.m.-12 p.m. Oct. 5, Join The Bridge Teen Center, Whole Foods Market Orland Park, Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin, and celebrity guest Rachel Crow at the 1st annual Community Walk fundraiser to benefit The Bridge's free programs and events for teens.  Walkers will have the unique opportunity to experience each of the five program buckets offered by The Bridge Teen Center during their 1.5 mile journey.  The post-walk celebration will be highlighted by free food samples from Wooden Paddle Pizza and Harvest Room, free beverages from Jamba Juice and Wataah, live music, and more.  Form a walk team, walk by yourself, or consider getting your business involved as an event sponsor. 4:30-5:30 Oct. 8, 15 &22, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, will hold three weeks of Photography classes with Jennifer Orr Photography. Discover a new artistic way to express yourself. Learn about lighting, the mechanics of a camera, and leave with some of your very own photos. Boxing
4-6 Oct. 8, 15, 22 & 29, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, will hold four weeks of boxing classes with the Title Boxing Club. Visit one of Orland Park’s new boxing clubs to get a great workout, learn how to box, and learn how to feel confident in yourself. This free program is for teens in 7th through 12th grade. Behind the Scenes: Sandburg Fall Play
4-6 Oct. 9, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, will go behind the stage of a play to see how it works and what technical elements go into a play. We will return to see the play on opening night 6-9:30 Oct. 16.

Hershey’s Sweet Success (HS Only)
4:30-6 Oct. 10, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, is pairing up with Hershey to set you up for success by teaching the do’s and don’ts of interviewing, how to search for jobs, what to wear and more.

Pool Tourney/Game Night

Reptiles
4:30-5:30 Oct. 16, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, wants to invite you to our reptile day. Students learn about and see a ball python, tortoise, iguana, and more.

Lights On Afterschool Day: Bulb Art
4:00-5:30 Oct. 17, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, is inviting you to join millions worldwide as we celebrate and shed “light” on after school programs by creating a unique piece of art out of light bulbs.

Cooking in Season
4:30-6:00 Oct. 17, The Bridge Teen Center, 15555 S. 71st Court, Orland Park, is hosting a Cooking in Season culinary with Chef David Gollan. Students will prepare a dish that highlights some items that are in season during mid-October. Come learn some unique cooking tips, try some foods that may be new to you, and meet other students.
