Orland Township to Assist Those in Need of Employment with Free Job Fair

Orland Township is hosting a FREE job fair for those in search of employment on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place in the Orland Township Activity Center, located at 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park.

Company representatives from a variety of industries will be present to meet with participants. The following companies will be available from 10 a.m. to noon: 

Brightstar Care, Brannigan Chiropractic Center, American Family Insurance, Entertainment Cruises and Tucker Rocky Distribution Center.

Companies scheduled to attend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. include 

Walgreens, Dove Chocolate Discoveries, Waddell & Reed Advisors, Harmony Health Plan, HCR-Manor Care, Larlin Home Care, Prudential, Liberty Mutual Insurance, LeafGuard Chicago, Home Instead Senior Care, Visiting Angels of Orland Park, Rasmussen College, Pace Suburban Bus Company, Moraine Valley Community College, Avon, Allstate Insurance, Surface Shields, Inc., Employment and Employer Services, Inc., First Midwest Bank, DeVry, Bedford Motor Service Inc., Illinois Institute of Art and Mary Kay, Primerica, Benedictine University, UPS Hodgkins, Advocate Christ Medical Center, Awakened Alternatives, Real Business Solutions, Office Max, Archer Bank and Right at Home.

Purdue University Calumet professor, Casimir Barczyk will also be on hand to provide resume tips to job seekers. Professor Barczyk has taught classes on human resource management and human resource planning, selection and placement, making him knowledgeable on what hiring agents look for and want to see during the hiring process. He has also written articles in business journals and has participated in various conferences pertaining to human resources, hiring procedures and related subjects.
