FRIDAY, APRIL 13

Shades Swipe

Police were called about a retail theft at Carson Pirie Scott around 5:20 p.m. Security saw a man take a pair of sunglasses and place them in his sweatshirt pocket, before leaving the store without paying, according to the report. The glasses are worth $76.30, police said. Brandon A. Martin, 21, of the 4100 block of Lindenwood Drive in Matteson, was charged with retail theft.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11

Domestic Battery

Police were called about a domestic argument in the 10800 block of Antelope Drive around 11:30 a.m. A man was arguing with a woman when he grabbed her to throw her out of a room, and then threw a shoe at her, police said. Officers saw bruising and minor scratches on the woman’s arm, leg and foot, according to the report. Joseph M. Dilallo, 21, of the 10800 block of Antelope Drive in Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery.

SUNDAY, APRIL 8

Weave and Speed

Police pulled over an SUV after seeing it speed and cross over lane lines on 159th Street near Will Cook Road around 4:05 a.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol and she failed field sobriety tests, police said. Lauren E. Klotz, 24, of the 17200 block of Long Bow Drive in Lockport, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle.

FRIDAY, APRIL 6

Near Off Road

Police pulled over a car after seeing it almost go off the road, crossing over lane lines and jutting back into traffic from a parked position without signaling, near 104th Avenue near Liberty Drive around 10 p.m. The driver couldn’t immediately find his license, his speech was slurred heavily and he later failed field sobriety tests, police said. Vytautas Katalynas, 46, of the 13800 block of Meath Drive in Homer Glen, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, failure to signal and failure to notify about an address change.
