Police Blotter: Brazen Bra Thefts at Victoria's Secret, Sleepy Driver

THURSDAY, JUNE 2

Sleepy Drinker Parked at Park Hill Plaza

Andrelia M. Floyd, 20, of the 2300 block of Norris Drive in Dixmoor, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (with a blood alcohol level over 0.08), underage consumption, driving on a suspended license and possession of cannabis. According to the report, a police officer making a business check at Park Hill Plaza, 9100 159th St., saw a car parked with the driver appearing to be asleep behind the wheel. After making several attempts to wake her, the officer opened the door and Floyd woke up, police said.  Floyd's keys were in the ignition but the car was not running.  An inventory of Floyd's belongings found a plastic bag with cannabis. The charges are pending trial on June 22 in Bridgeview.

Underage Drinker Wouldn't Leave

Daniel F. Falls, 19, of the 14500 block of Lake Ridge Road in Orland Park was charged with underage consumption. According to the report, a woman in the 9300 block of Dunmurry Drive called police about trying to get some teenagers to leave her residence. Falls was seen with two cases of beer near him, and police determined that he had been drinking, the report said. Falls was released on bond pending trial in Bridgeview on July 9.

Blown Light, Blowing Over the Limit

Gerald M. McIverney, 23, of the 9800 block of West Treetop Drive in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (with a blood alcohol level over 0.08) and driving without insurance, and was issued traffic tickets. According to the report, an officer at the intersection of 159th and Wolf Road saw a car go through a red light without coming to a full stop. The car also made a very wide turn onto 159th Street from Wolf Road and did not have a rear license plate. The driver, McIverney, later failed field sobriety tests. He posted bond pending a July 26 Bridgeview court date.

THURSDAY, MAY 26

Lifted and Separated From Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret in Orland Square Mall reported that the store received a shipment of bras Thursday morning, and one was purchased around 11 a.m. and another was purchased around 2 p.m. Later, an employee noticed that a large number of bras were missing from the display. In all, 23 bras went missing, with a combined value of $984. Police do not have any videos nor any suspects at this time.

Accident Yields DUI Charges

Patrick J. Dunne, of the 20000 block of Scott Street in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance, and was issued traffic tickets after an accident at 179th and Wolf. According to the report, the accident happened at about 6:45 p.m. between an SUV and a passenger car. The responding officer reported seeing Dunne begin to drive away. After Dunne was stopped, the officer saw Dunne stumbling and smelled alcohol on his breath. Dunne later asked to stay in the car and refused field sobriety tests. Dunne posted bond pending a Bridgeview court date of July 8.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25

Underage Drinking Arrest

Jacob B. Hochgraver, 20, of the 16000 block of Olcott Avenue in Tinley Park, Nicole M. Abramouske, 20, of the 14900 block of 88th Avenue in Orland Park, Julie M. Howe, 19, of the 16700 block of Julie Anne Lane in Orland Park, and Jacqueline M. Hennessy, 19, of the 7800 block of Seapines Road in Orland Park, all were cited for illegal consumption of alcohol. According to the report, a patrol officer saw a car parked at a gas pump in the Thornton's station at 7600 159th St. The station had closed at midnight and since it was well after that time, the officer checked out the car for suspicious activity. The driver claimed that they had stopped there to try to get gas since the pumps at the 7-11 across the street were not working, police said. All four had admitted to drinking and were released at the scene. They are due in local court on June 14 at the Orland Park Civic Center.
