Three Chicagoans have been accused of stealing clothing, lotion, toys and diapers from a children’s toy store just outside Orland Square Mall.

Police said they received a call around 8:30 p.m. about a group of people who just ran out of the store and loaded a cart full of items in a car. That same car was stopped minutes later near 131st Street and LaGrange Road, according to the report.

The driver, Kanesha R. Trisby, 20, of the 5900 block of Calumet Avenue, was charged with theft, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Passengers Charles Ambrose, 22, of the 7800 block of South Shore Drive, and Kimberly Jones, 23, of the 5600 block of Paulina Street, were charged with theft.

Police report information is provided by law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
