Police Need Your Help to Find Man Who Ran From Taxi

Cab driver suffered a broken ankle in struggle with man who bailed on his $80 fare.

Orland Park police are seeking help identifying a man who fought with a taxi driver after refusing to pay his $80 fare.

On May 6, police were called to the 9800 block of Cordoba Court, where a cab driver had brought a customer at about 6:40 a.m. The passenger told the driver he didn't have any money to pay his fare and then he ran. The driver chased him, struggled with the man, but fell and broke his ankle.

The man ran away. He's described as white, 18 to 25 years of age, 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-10-inches, weighing 180 pounds. The man wore a hooded sweatshirt and carried a black backpack.
