Police Searching for 7-Month-Old Girl Taken from Lockport Home

The child was taken by her biological father, police said.

Police in Lockport are looking for a 7-month-old girl taken from her home Tuesday.

Vivianna L. LeBlanc was wearing a diaper in a blue infant carrier-type car seat, and is believed to have been taken by her biological father. The baby is described as a white female with brown hair, brown eyes and weighing about 20 pounds.

The child was seen around 3 a.m. being taken from her home in the 1900 block of Hamilton Street by Christopher LeBlanc, NBC reports. LeBlanc was driving a white 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Illinois registration S959533.

LeBlanc told the child's mother he was not coming back, before leaving without any supplies for the child. It's believed he is heading to Texas.

Anyone with information about the child's disappearance is asked to call Lockport Police at 815-838-2132.
