Pounding an Off-Duty Cop’s Car Doors at McDonald’s: Blotter

An Orland Park woman was charged with disorderly conduct after she pounded on the car doors and windows of an off-duty Cook County sheriff's deputy while in the drive-thru line, police said.

An Orland Park woman is accused of pounding on the car windows and doors of an off-duty Cook County sheriff’s deputy’s car after she was asked to stop blocking the drive-thru line at McDonald’s, according to an Orland Park police report.

Dina M. Ramahi, 25, of the 15500 block of Peachtree Drive in Orland Park, was charged with disorderly conduct.

On Nov. 27, police were called to McDonald’s at 14445 LaGrange Rd. about a possible fight in the parking lot around 9:55 p.m. The off-duty deputy was in the drive-thru line, with an off-duty Cook County correctional officer also in the car, when another car was blocking the line, police said.

The two asked the people in the blocking car to move so cars could get through, and eventually the car moved. Once the two got their order, a woman, Ramahi, ran up to the passenger side and started banging on the door and window, police said. Ramahi then ran to the driver’s side and began pounding on that door and window with a closed fist, before trying to open the door, according to the report.

The driver then got out of the car and grabbed Ramahi’s arm, holding her until police arrived, according to the report. Another woman then yelled and swore at the two off duty law enforcement personnel, police said.

Ramahi told police that the man and woman in the car cursed at her and the other woman, and that’s when she ran up to the car and tried opening the door, according to the report.
