Two Roll Over Accidents in Two Days

The Orland Fire Protection District handled two separate car accidents where a vehicle rolled over Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Within two days, Orland firefighters rescued a driver from a car that flipped over into a creek, and extricated another driver from a vehicle turned on its side in a four-vehicle crash.

On Thursday, the was called to a creek in the 15800 block of Orland Brook Drive about a single-car accident, according to a release from the district. A car jumped a berm, struck the ground with its front and was flipped over into the creek, according to the release.

The driver was found sitting on the roof in the flipped-over car toward the passenger door, and was taken to an area hospital where he was reported in good condition, the district said.

On Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., fire crews were sent to the 14800 block of Wolf Road about a four-vehicle accident, where one had rolled onto its side, according to a release from the district.

Firefighters had to use the hydraulic Jaws of Life to cut through part of the rolled vehicle’s roof for the driver to get out. Two people were sent to Silver Cross Hospital and two others refused treatment, the district said.

The condition of the people sent for treatment was not known Thursday.
