Orland Township Sponsors Job Fair Tuesday

Orland Township is hosting a free job fair for both residents and non-residents on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a brief lunch break from noon to 1 p.m. at the Orland Township Activity Center, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park.

A variety of company representatives from various industries, including the health care, business and education fields, will be present to meet with participants. Companies scheduled to attend include: Allstate Insurance, Carson Pirie Scott, Lowe's Home Improvement, Primerica, Prudential and more.

This event comes on the heels of Orland Township's first job fair in June, where over 400 job seekers attended and various qualified attendees were offered positions. The results of the first job fair provided the assurance Supervisor Paul O'Grady needed in committing to hosting a second event.

"The first job fair was a great success for both job seekers and the companies who were present that day, based on the feedback we received," said O'Grady.

Business attire is required and attendants should bring updated resumes for distribution.
