Gimme 5: Hampton Has Sandburg Volleyball Primed for Season
Sandburg's prolific junior outside hitter Dakota Hampton looks to lead the Eagles the top of the heap this fall.
Dakota Hampton just celebrated her 16th birthday. She already has played four years of club volleyball. Her Aurora-based Sports Performance volleyball club finished third in the nation.
And her high school team, Sandburg, is coming off a first-place finish in the Summer League at Palos Courts. Hampton, a junior hitter, played a key role on the outside for the Eagles.
"We expect a lot out of Dakota this year," Sandburg coach David Vales said. "She worked hard all summer, and this should be a good year for her."

Hampton hasn't decided where she will go to college, but she plans to study business and one-day own her own company.
