D146 Super: State Could Cost Local Residents $24 Million More in New Obligations

Four measures being discussed now by state legislators could result in the state dropping its contributions to pensions and transportation, as well as further reduce collected tax money for schools.

Staff and board of education members from Community Consolidated School District 146 are planning a summit of school administrators and union representatives to raise support against potential state laws that could cost local school districts millions. 

The meeting will take place 6:30 p.m. April 11 at Central Middle School, 18146 S. Oak Park Ave. in Tinley Park. Following the summit, a public forum will be scheduled.
