Park School Special Ed Students March for the 4th of July
The parade is described as a highlight for the students, who take summer classes to continue their progress from during the regular school year. Watch our video of the parade.
Students in Park School's Extended School Year program got decked out in reds, whites and blues for their yearly 4th of July parade Wednesday.
The ESY program allows students to continue goals and objectives during the summer for four days a week over the course of a month, said Orland School District 135 Special Education Director Ellen Belotti.
"The kids love it," Belotti said. "They smile all through it. There's also a lot of parent participation."
