Patch's Guide to Orland School District 135 Open House

Families will have the opportunity to tour their child(ren)'s classrooms and the rest of the school during the annual Open House invitation offered by all District 135 schools. 

Here are some tips to make the most out of your Open House experience:

• Parents should take this opportunity to get to know their child's teacher a bit better by simply introducing themselves. Clue them in to any personality traits and strenghts/weaknesses your child may have. Some teachers will have forms for this information, so be sure to fill them out and return them to the teacher.
• Most teachers will have sign up sheets available for parent/teacher conferences (held during Thanksgiving break), so if you have a specific date and time in mind be sure to reserve that time slot before it is taken.
• Sign up for the PFE (Parents for Education). A great way to be involved with your child's school is through this parent organization, where you can be an integral part of the program in different ways.
• Purchase school spirit wear. Many schools will have spirit wear and some school supplies available for purchase. 
• Questions? Ask. The faculty at your child's school will answer questions you have.
