St. Michael School friends and family teed off on October 5tht to raise funds for the school and pay tribute to the late Paul Marzano. Paul Marzano was the husband of Esy, an employee of the school and father of Paul, Adrienne and Sarah Marzano. The Golf Outing Committee, led by Brian Kohlstedt, & Kevin Patula organized everything from the venue to hole sponsors to raffle prizes. Committee members include, Todd Hollowell, John Lawler, Ted Meehan, Kevin O'Connor, and Rusty Scheel. 60 golfers participated in the event which offered 18 holes of golf and a delicious dinner provided by Woodbine Golf Course. An additional 30+ joined the golfers for dinner and the awards ceremony. Prizes were awarded for such things as best score, longest putt AND best UGLY pants. Kevin Patula said, “It’s a good time and you don't even necessarily need to golf to come out and enjoy yourself.” Each participant received a door prize which included items donated by various sponsors, and a mini cooler sporting the St. Michael School logo. To raise additional funds, items such as a TV, and sports paraphernalia were raffled off to the guests.
