Village, Chamber & Civic Center Host Pre-Holiday Open House

See the Orland Park Civic Center like you've never seen it before at the Pre-Holiday Open House on October 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public!

See the Orland Park Civic Center like you’ve never seen it before.

The Village of Orland Park, the Orland Park Civic Center and the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a Pre-Holiday Open House on Tuesday, October 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This festive gala will showcase the many uses for the Civic Center. Whether it’s a holiday party, family reunion, wedding reception, fundraiser, corporate function or private event --- the Orland Park Civic Center can accommodate all types of gatherings.

“We invite everyone to see the Civic Center transformed to showcase its many possibilities,” said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin. “People will see how adaptable the building is and learn more about the local businesses featured at the open house,” he said.

Special Looks by debi Ross will transform the Civic Center and Formally Modern Tuxedos, Melka Landscaping & Design, Wehmeier Photography and Rental Max of Orland Park will demonstrate how they can make every event a magical memory.

“We are very excited about the October 23 Open House,” said Trustee Pat Gira who is the Village Board liaison to the Civic Center Authority. “This is a great opportunity for the community to see the many possibilities for the building --- corporate events, family parties, community group functions --- any type of gathering,” she said.

Participating vendors also include Café Gaston, Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant, Grand Audiovisual Services, Inc., Granite City Food & Brewery, Orland Park Bakery, Palermo’s and Papa Joe’s.

A strolling magician, pianist and string quartet will provide entertainment at the open house which will also include raffles, prizes and more.

The Orland Park Civic Center is part of the award winning Orland Park Village Center Complex. The building is dedicated to the late Village Trustee William R. Vogel with the building’s annex named in memory of the late State Representative Jane Barnes.

The Wi-Fi equipped facility includes four key areas. The building’s Exhibition Room is a spacious, column free area that comfortably seats up to 225 guests for dinner and 400 for meetings, training and seminars. Its adjacent Grand Hall is an open area perfectly suited for exhibits, buffets or receiving lines.

The Jane Barnes Annex, at the south end of the building seats 125 guests for dinner or provides meeting space for 25 to 200. The dividable annex can accommodate two smaller gatherings. The Outdoor Terrace is an open air balcony overlooking a scenic reflecting pond and the village’s outdoor amphitheater.
