Orland Park Grand Slam Event Planned for U.S. Cellular Field

The Village of Orland Park’s Grand Slam Event with the Chicago White Sox has become an annual favorite for baseball fans from throughout the region. The Tuesday, August 13th 7:10 p.m. home game against the Detroit Tigers is this year’s event for Orland Park.

“The White Sox have invited Orland Park to participate in a grand slam group event for the last few years and we invite people from throughout the region to be a part of this evening of baseball,” said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin. Attendees need not live in Orland Park to order the discounted tickets.

Specially priced White Sox tickets are available for the game with lower box reserved seats available for $30. Outfield reserved are $12 and upper box are $10.

“We hope that families are able to take advantage of the discounted tickets again this year,” the mayor said. “This is a nice break for those who may otherwise be forced to limit their summer travel and activities,” he added.

Ticket order forms for the 7:10 p.m. game are available at all village buildings and on the village’s website at www.orland-park.il.us. Tickets may also be ordered online at www.whitesox.com/orlandpark or by calling Ticketmaster at 866-769-4263 and using the code “OPN.” Service fees will apply for ordering online and through Ticketmaster.

“The White Sox have put together a nice package for the game,” McLaughlin said. “Along with specially priced tickets, if they use the paper order form, families can order parking passes and hot dog value meals, making it a reasonably priced outing,” he said. “And, this year people can order the newly designed ‘Orland Park White Sox Fan’ t-shirt,” the mayor added.

Tickets will be mailed to the provided address and all game times and promotions are subject to change.

“This is a great outing for everyone, whether they’re from Orland Park or not,” McLaughlin said, adding, “It’s a great night of baseball.”
