Son John and his wife live in San Francisco; son David and his wife and my grandson live in Seattle. My wife died some years ago.

During retirement I wrote more than 100 op ed pieces for The Orlando Sentinel. I was managing editor of The Honolulu Advertiser, editor of the Hilo Hawaii Tribune-Herald, editor in chief of the National Catholic News Service in DC and Rome, editor of the New World, even a rewrite man on Hearst's Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph. Current member National Press Club, Headline Club, Overseas Press Club, SDX. Author of "The Spirit of Cardinal Bernardin."
